The documents and instructions required to take along for marriage registration are as follows:
(1) Form No. 5 and Form No. 1 (Marriage Registration Department / Online Form is available.)
(2) True copy of the bride-groom's living certificate.
(3) True copy of groom-bride election card and ration card.
(4) Two passport size photographs of both the bride and groom and the wedding couple photo.
(5) Gore Maharaj's example, Kankotri original and Xerox copy.
(6) Gore Maharaj as well as genuine copy of election card and ration card of witnesses of both the parties.
(7) To keep all the evidence in two copies and to sign the evidence by the bride and groom.
(8) To keep together to show all original certificates.
(9) Filling the marriage application form with black ball pen and getting it checked and inwarded by the clerk.
(10) Both the bride and groom should be present at the time of marriage registration.

- If registration is done within one month from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs.5 / -
- If registration is done within three months from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs. 15 / -
- If registration is done in a period of more than three months from the date of marriage, the fee is Rs. 25 / -.
- Two agreement stamps of Rs.100 + 100 on the form as well as Rs. 3 / - court stamp should be affixed.

Forms for marriage registration will be available free of cost from the marriage registration registrar.
